A Cross Tee is a four-way pipe fitting used to connect four pipes at 90-degree angles, forming a plus (+) shape. It allows fluid or gas to flow in multiple directions and is commonly used in plumbing, drainage, irrigation, and industrial piping systems.
Key Features:
Material: Available in PVC, CPVC, UPVC, stainless steel, galvanized steel, brass, and cast iron.
Design:
Has one inlet and three outlets (or vice versa) at right angles.
Available in equal cross (same pipe sizes) or reducing cross (different branch sizes).
Types:
1. Equal Cross Tee: All four openings are of the same size.
2. Reducing Cross Tee: One or more outlets have a smaller diameter than the main pipeline.
